Some of the areas that are highlighted are: New York City, Brooklyn, Hempstead, Port Jefferson, Greenport, OrientPoint, Westhampton Beach, Quogue, Southampton, East Hampton, etc. An intricately illustrated border is decorated withfamous events and places as well.

This map was originally drawn in 1933 by Courtland Smithbased on ideas and historical information compiled by Richard Foster. CourtlandSmith was an noted architect on Long Islandworking at that occupation for a remarkable 70 years. Although Smith designeddozens of homes throughout the Hamptons,according to his obituary in the Southampton Press, Smith’s best-known work wasthe pictorial Map of Long Island. It has remained \"a steady seller in giftshops throughout Long Island for more than 75years.\"

This classic map looks great framed and would be a welcomeaddition to any room. Map measures approximately 20 X 27 inches and is professionallyprinted on heavyweight paper.
