The Tea Basket is a longtime Longaberger favorite because of its handy size and shape, so good to capture so many things, and this basket is made on the same form, with a stationary handle added

Before 1989, basket handles were oak, so this handle has a more visible grain than the current maple handles. In 1989, Longaberger began using the maple cores left from making splints to make handles and found that they were even better than the oak handles, but they don\'t have the same pretty grain

Basket is in good condition; it has some typical splitting around some tacks on the band but is overall very nice and clean--you won\'t find many of this age in as good condition as this!
