This is a very special basket dedicated to, and in memory of, the founder, Dave Longaberger. This is the most difficult basket they have ever made and took 2 to 3 times longer to make. They used a very unique weave called stair-step that was developed by Dave and never used on a commercial basket before. It has a braided leather strip around the top and on the bottom \"to Dad With love\" is burned into the wood along with the signatures of Tami and Rachel.
