Lot of 48 Antique French Champleve and Other Enamels Brass and Cut Steel Buttons.
Each of these buttons is a gem. Beautiful floral and geometric enamels. Pierced blanks, the cut steel buttons have faceted jewels.
The styles range from Second Empire to Art Nouveau.
Pairs and singles. Four of the buttons depict Napoleon with encircling eagles and stars. All four are brass, two are gilt, the blue enamel is darker on two.
The buttons are mounted on a piece of this cardboard. They are held in place with pipe cleaners and glue
Marks, none visible.
Condition; Only two have spots of enamel loss. The 2nd button from the left in the top row. The last button on the right of the second row. Otherwise no problems.
Dimensions: 1/2\" to 1 1/8\" in diameter.
