THESE ARE NOT THESMALL 8\"DOLLS!
Madame Alexander 14\" Scarlett #1490with Maryann face, made 1968-73 and 1974-86, sometime #1590. This dress was made in cotton batiste & nylon, this is the cotton batiste which has stayed white better over time. Hair is still in original set, face paint nice, green sleep eyes work fine& have full lashes, original arm tag in place but it looks a little faded
Tagged dress is clean & white, hasattached white lining,is trimmed with rows of lace on bodice & skirt, finished with green velvet ribbon belt with rhinestone buckle, button closure; underneath she haswhite cotton crinoline slip with netting,matching white pantaloons, long white sox, black shoes
Rhett is 12\" tall made from 1981-1985 using the Nancy Drew face with a mustache added! Many of these dolls did not have the mustache due to a factory error, so the dolls with it are more desirable. Sleep eyes work fine & have full lashes, perfect facepaint.He wears a white shirt, redcravat, gold brocade vest with brass buttons, gray pants. blacksox & tie shoes, a taggedblack felt jacket, and still has his original felt hat! He is a strung doll & can hold a pose
Both dolls are from a very well maintained collection, no odor, stains, orspots, and are sold \"AS IS\". Scarlet does have a torso crack by one hip (see pic). It must be a flaw in this flange hip style that Alexander used, as I have found it in the same placeon many dollsthis size. It does not affect her leg movement or posing, and does not show, but it is there! Her original hair bows are somewhat faded.Rhett has no flaws I can find, but does not have his hand tag.
Both dolls are offered for the one bargain price! No stands or boxes included.
