About the Artist
Shalom of Safed (Shalom Moskovitz)
Lived for over seventy years high in the hills of Galilee. A watchmaker and silversmith he was discovered in the late fifties, and within a short time attained a world-wide reputation. His works have been exhibited in major museums in the U.S.A. and in Europe, and are included in their collections.
All of these cards were purchased from an estate sale. They have been kept inside a photograph album since they were purchased in Israel. The cards are numbered in a series from 1101 to 1112 with 1103 and 1107 missing. I do not know which art pieces those cards depicted. All of the cards have gold foil added to them from what I believe is a foil imaging process. Unfortunately since they have been inside the album for such a long time, the adhesive has transferred onto the back of the cards. I had planned for these to be used for framing so the front was my main concern when removing them. Please view all the pictures. I have photographed every card and will provide any additional photographs to potential buyers upon request. Be sure to read my terms of sale for this item before purchasing. The photographs are in order of the list that follows for the exact condition of each art card.

1. 1101 \"Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem\" (Psalms)
This card is in good shape. It has a very small bend to the bottom left corner. The bend is outside of the framing area. The transfer from the adhesive is also present on the back.
2. 1102 \"Jerusalem of Peace\"
This cards has no damage with the exception of the transfer to the back.
3. 1104 \"The creation of Birds and Trees\"
This card has the most damage. The front has two spots in the left margin. There are a few smaller spots inside the artwork in the area around the three trees and three birds. There is one small mark on the bottom of the artwork. The back of the card has a bend to it and a light stain. The back has transfer from the adhesive. Framing the print will cover all the damage except the small marks inside the art. I think they are hardly noticeable, but that\'s my opinion. This card has no damage with the exception of transfer to the back
5. 1106 The Birds of Paradise II. (Genesis)
This card has no damage with the exception of transfer to the back
6. 1108 \"A Woman of Valor\" (Proverbs)
This card has no damage with the exception of transfer to the back
7. 1109 An Orchard of Pomegranates (Song of Songs)
This card has no damage with the exception of transfer to the back
8. 1110 The Creation of living things (Book of Genesis)
This card has no damage with exception of transfer to the back
9. 1111 Moses Receiving the Law on Sinai and the Feast of Shavu\'ot
This card has no damage with the exception of transfer to the back
10. 1112 My Beloved is Like a Doe (Song of Songs)
This card has a small bend in the upper right margin and the back has a bend on the left side. The back also has transfer from the adhesive.
Each card measures 4.75in x 6.75in with a total framing area of 4in x 6in. The bottom and top margin is 3/8 of an inch and the right and left margin are a 1/4 of an inch. The cards have been placed individually between protective foam and will be shipped in a box and not an envelope. Insurance will be included for the full value of sale with the cost of shipping at no extra charge.
TERMS OF SALE
I usually offer a 14 day money back guarantee on returns for all my items for any reason, but unfortunately due to the nature of this item if you do not start a return within 24 hours of receiving your item for anything other than gross misrepresentation, I will not accept it. These cards are fragile and the longer they are out of my hands, the longer the chance they can become damaged beyond their value. You must ship the item back to me within 48 hours of starting your return. It has to be in your carrier\'s hands and not just a printed label to avoid the fee. If you do not ship it back to me within this time, you will be charged a 25 percent restocking fee. I am doing this so that the item comes back to me in the same packaging it arrived in. The longer it stays with the buyer the stronger the chance it comes back unprotected because the buyer discarded the original packaging. I will not cover the cost of shipping for the return but I will cover the insurance charge. I will pay for the label at the time of return so the item leaves immediately and when it arrives I will refund your money minus the shipping cost. I know this sounds like a strict return policy, but I believe in communication. As long as you communicate with me, it doesn\'t have to be set in stone. I am not without reason or understanding. I only ask that you communicate with me and be as prompt as possible in returning the item. I am not looking for someone to buy them because they have money burning a whole in their pocket. I was not able locate any other cards. I searched for the missing two. I am unsure the full value so I have priced them high and left best offer open. Please submit fair offers of their value and let me know why you think they are worth what you offer and I will consider it. While they are just greeting cards, the art depicted in them are beautiful representations of lessons from the jewish faith and their owner should be someone who will enjoy them.
