This is a collection of 14 pewter airplanes, from \"The World\'s Greatest Aircraft\" with signed certification of authenticity by Peter Lloyd, Franklin Mint. Made 1987-1988.
Each plane has it\'s own certification and description with short history and specifics of the plane. Great way to start the collection!
There are 12 stands with posts. Pictures 9 and 10 show largest and smallest planes in the lot. Lockheed C-5A is 4-3/4\" long with a 4-1/4\" wingspan. The Spirit of St. Louis is 1.5\" long with a 2.5\" wingspan.
CAUTION - pewter is very \'soft\'. Be very careful opening box and individual wrappers, etc. Propellers and landing gear are most susceptible to bending. Some of these had some minor bending and have been bent back.
