Outstanding oil on canvas still life of a vase of flowers by listed Rockport, Massachusetts artist Lou Bankoff (20th century). Bankoff studied at the Art Students League in New York and worked as a graphic designer and illustrator in New York. A member of the Salmagundi Club and the Rockport Art Association, Bankoff later became a member of the Rocky Neck Art Colony in Gloucester and owned several galleries in Rockport. Bankoff exhibited regularly with the Rockport Art Association.

This oil and canvas was exhibited at the Rockport Art Association (likely in the 1960s). It is signed lower right and an exhibition label from the Rockport Art Association is attached to the stretcher. It measures 14\" x 12\" (painting size). In a vintage frame.
