We Shall Overcome: A Collection of Graphic Collages Created as a Memento for Those Who Participated in the Historic March on Washington for Freedom and Jobs
Extremely rare set of five powerful collages (plus the cover collage), created in 1963 by Louis Lo Monaco, art director for the Blank Panthers. The 9\" X 11\" folder also contains an introduction page with facsimile signatures of Dr. Martin Luther King and others and a table of contents page with captions for each piece.
The covers show some soiling and quite a bit of wear at the edges, with signs of separation along the fold; all the paper shows some toning from age; the seven sheets are clean and unmarked; somewhat curled at the forward edges; three of the sheets also have small creases at the top right corners. Not a perfect set, but in any condition an exceptionally scarce collector\'s item.
