You are offerding on a huge original antique print from an 1880s illustrated journal.

It depicts seven captioned views of the Marti Gras (Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday) in New Orleans, Louisiana. On the back is a 20-inch article on the Carnival Garb in New Orleans.

It shows the nighttime fireworks over the Mississippi RIver; the viewing stand on Canal Street, the crowd awaiting King Rex at the Levee, the King Rex throne and presentation scene. the start of the parade with giant floats, the procession at night.

It is very large (double folio size), measuring approximately22 x 16 inches (56 x 40.5 cm). The picture fills most of the page, with a caption below. There is unrelated text/photos on the back of this print.

The print has a fold in the middle, where it was folded into the magazine long ago. The fold line is clean. However, there areseveral small pinhead holes along the fold line from where itwassewn into the journal long ago. There is a old bend in the upper right corner, now flattened.
