Thisamber is difficult to acquire and has been dated to be Cretaceous in age (around 100 million years old) and would have been sticky resin during the time of the dinosaurs.

This is a very rare, nugget shapedpieceof burmite amber from Myanmar (Burma) that represents \'root amber\'. Root amber is sought after due to its unique patterns and colors.

The piece weighs5.5 gramsand has windowspolished into it to show the true color best. It would make an interesting wire wrapped piece for jewelry!

Allpictures were taken in natural sunlight to show the true color best except for the last one which was taken under a UV source (black light).

The piece itself weighs5.5 grams with dimensions of35 mmlength by21 mm width and10 mm height. NOTE: 25.4 mm is one inch.
