Description A beautiful decorativeand rare-shaped English antique 19th CenturyVictorian solid sterling silvertable box by the silversmiths Rosenthal, Jacob & Co - (1883-1891), ingood conditionand withEnglish silver hallmarks for London 1886. Lovely quality genuine 132 year old sterling silver box, with its original tight fitting pull-off lid and all-over decorated with attractive embossed flowers and foliage.Has protruding fluted silver edge rims to assist lid opening and it weighs 30grams. Small period entwined monogram in the cartouche.

MeasurementsMeasures approx2.7 inches (67mm)x 1.75 inches (43mm)and is 1.4 inches (34mm) deep.

Date English antique 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1886(date letter \"L\"). Excellent clear struck matching hallmarks on box and lid and include the silver duty stamp of Queen Victoria.

MakerSilversmiths initials \"JR SJ\", (Rosenthal, Jacob & Co - 1883-1891).

Condition Good condition, no splits or cracks to the silver, definitely no wear/pin holes and no nasty knocks or dents either,a very nice genuine antique silver box. The silver pull-off lid is definitely original and a good fit. Tiny little wear/loss to the protruding crimped edge on the lid, really nothing much at all. Beautiful rare shape and a lovely early \"Queens head\" year date. Direct from a private estate and fresh to the market.
