We have owned this table since 1981. It was purchased at that time at a small antique store and had just been refinished. There were marks that had not been eliminated in the refinishing process but I call those character marks. There are almost no new marks or scratches as we always used a table cloth.
The size of the table is 42\" x 42\" without leaves. It opens in the center to accept up to 4 leaves and all leaves are included. The leaves are each 10\" wide and therefore when all are used, the table opens up to 42\" x 82.\" It was probably manufactured around 1910.
In addition to the beautiful and sturdy solid oak table top, take a look at the awesome solid oak fluted claw feet legs and the center fluted leg...5 legs in total. It does have caster wheels on the bottom of the feet so table can be easily moved, or they can be removed.
