You see a very fine antique Georgian footed drinks tray properly termed a salver or waiter, made by the famous silversmiths John Crouch I and Thomas Hannam, London 1783.
The raised rim and feet of the salver are ornamented with two applied bead decorated borders- very rare!
This 230 year old tray has very low signs of use.
The tray has a beautiful and clear engraving (a crest, a component of a heraldic display), the diameter is 17.6 cm, the height is 2.6 cm, the weight is 271 gram.
The backside shows clear hallmarks: Crouch & Hannam, date letter, 925 silver mark (sterling), London (Assay Office).
This beautiful piece of antique silver fits very well in both a classic and modern interior!
