This antique Lunkenheimer steam whistle is a piece of history. This whistle was made in Cincinnati Ohio about 1900 by the Cincinnati Valve Co. My grandfather worked for Island Creek Coal Co in Logan West Virginia and these whistles were used in the sequencing of coal cars once loaded. I’ve had this for over 50 years and it’s time to part with it, among other things. It’s completely functional and needs a new home.
