RARE TRIO OF GORGEOUS ALICE IN WONDERLAND DOLLS made by Madame Alexander in 1950! These THREE SISTERS STAND 20\" & 17\" & 14.5\" TALL in their ORIGINAL BLACK OILCLOTH SHOES & back seamed hose! THEY ARE HARD PLASTIC & WELL STRUNG & POSEABLE: STANDING OR SITTING! Their ORIGINAL BLONDE FLOSS WIGS are CENTERSTITCHED with CASCADING CURLS with ORIG PULLED BACK STYLING! They all have ORIGINAL FACE COLOR: RED PERFECTLY PAINTED LIPS, BLUSH CHEEKS, EYEBROWS & under eye LASHES. Their CRYSTAL CLEAR LIGHT GREEN SLEEP EYES have ORIGINAL FULL BRUSH LASHES! Their ORIGINAL TAGGED TAFFETA GOWNS have faded with age to a light lavender, from the original blue. Gowns have no rips or tears or holes, which is very rare for being 65 plus years of age! Gowns have BEAUTIFULLY STITCHED PETER PAN COLLARS & PUFFED SLEEVES WITH WIDE SLEEVE CUFFS. But the ORIGINAL ORGANDY PINAFORES THESE DOLLS WEAR ARE AMAZING: WITH DELICATE VAL LACE TRIM, RUFFLES OVER THE SHOULDERS, WHITE RICRAK TRIM at the necklines & S. ASHES TIED INTO BOWS AT THE BACK. Each Pinafore is slightly different but definitely original: as shown in a COLORED PHOTO OF A SIMILAR TRIO OF DOLLS on page 36 of the book MADAME ALEXANDER DOLLS ON REVIEW by Marjorie V. Sturges Uhl. The Trio of Alice In Wonderland dolls in this photo are from the personal collection of the Author\'s Granddaughter Trisha Uhl. When I saw these dolls, I began my own personal collection! IT HAS TAKEN ME YEARS TO FIND THESE BEAUTIES in near mint condition in their original attire! I considered listing them separately but I just could not bring myself to separate this RARE TRIO OF SISTERS! THEY ARE TRULY SPECTACULAR TOGETHER! Each one is slightly different but yet very much the same---like real life sisters! Big Sister & Middle Sister have their ORIGINAL COTTON EYELET TRIMMED PETTICOATS & ATTACHED MATCHING PANTIES, fastened by one original snap at the waist. These petticoats are not yellowed from age. Middle Sister even has her original pink bows on her panties! Little Sister has new white lace trimmed panties. She also wears a new custom made cotton EMBROIDERED LACE PETTICOAT to make her little gown strut. All these gowns are made with skirts that are longer on the sides. This was a signature detail of these dolls. Perhaps Madame Alexander wanted the middle front to be shorter to show off their adorable legs!---Great Idea, Madame A!
