18th CENTURY INDIAN ISLAMIC LIME PASTE SPICE CONTAINER BETEL PERSIAN
This is a wonderful quality 18th century Islamic lime paste,spice container.The main body is made of cast polished iron and attached to this is the chain and spoon.On each side of the body near the hinge there is Islamic calligraphy.The condition is superb, the patina is amazing ,it weighs 540 grams and it\'s so sturdy I think it was made to last forever!The photos are a good reflection of the item ,probably better if you look at them as I\'m not too good at explaining things.If you would like any more photos I would be more than happy to send them.This really is a cracking item and one for the serious collector.
Measurements of the iron body are 9.6cm x 7 cm.The length of the chain are spoon is 40 cm
