Circa 1900 and in our opinion, made with the quality of antique DRESDENor STAFFORDSHIRE porcelain, the sheep measure a DIMINUTIVE 2\" tall to the top oftheir heads, with their bases measuring 2 5/16\" wide by 1 7/16\" deep. The set has AMAZING DETAIL in every aspect,and is of SUPERIOR QUALITY, made of very FINE PORCELAIN, with beautiful and realistic modeling including a FLOCKED TEXTURED finish to resemble the wool ofREAL SHEEP! The hand painting is MASTERFUL with beautiful features including lightly blushed noses;each sheep is different, modeled sitting down facing each other with hoofs extended on molded and embossed GILDED BASES, withtiny GREEN MOSS strewn around! Both pieces have hand painted black numbers \"3934\" with one marked \"A\" and the other \"B\", which is also stamped \"GERMANY\" in a tiny circle!
