This beautiful, glass eyed, 12 1/2 inches in wooden body length, realistic in both form and paint to species, pair of working \"Greenwing Teal Duck Decoys\" were made by Al Reeg (1928-2012) & Doug Burrell (deceased 2001) of London, Ontario, Canada. The circa is 1960\'s. Doug & Al wereavid Lake St Clair waterfowl hunters hunting as young men hunting over waterfowl decoys made by the legendary decoy maker Ben Schmidt of Centerline Michigan. With great waterfowl hunting success, it was only natural for them to pattern the many different of species of their hunting decoys after Ben\'s style. Doug & Al were bothers in law, and with Al being the rough carver,and Doug being the finishing carver & painter, they made an awesome team of decoy makers. I have included an image of when in the 1970\'s Al & Doug won the prestigious Canadian working waterfowl carvingcompetitions, held at the Jack MinerWildlife Sanctuary in Kingsville. Ontario, Canada.The condition of this pair of puddle ducks is excellent, and they were never gunned over, only displayed.
