This Lithograph was published by N. Currier at 33 Spruce St in N.Y. It was entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1846, in the Clerks office of the District Court of the Southern District of N.Y. Winfield Scott was born in 1786 in Virginia, and he died in 1866 at West Point N.Y. He was promoted to Brigadier General in 1814 at the young age of 27.Major General Winfield Scott was the General in Chief of the United States Army. He was lauded for his leadership in the War of 1812, and was the hero of Chippewa, Lundy\'s Lane, Vera Cruz and Cerro Gordo.This Original Lithograph is in VERY FINE Condition with outstanding and vivid Hand Coloring - and, it is over 150 years old!(International buyers pay actual shipping/insurance)
