This German text by MoritzHartmann (1821-1872) of the famous fairy tales of Charles Perrault (1628-1703)includes: Das Rothkappchen (Little Red Riding Hood); Der kleine daumerling (Hopo\' My Thumb); Das dornroschen (Sleeping Beauty); Aschenputtel (Cinderella); Dergestiefelte kater (Puss in Boots). Riquet mit dem schopf (Ricky of the Tuft);Esel shaut (Donkey Skin); Die fee (The Tale); and Blaubart (Blue Beard). Thefull page illustrations by Dore (1832-1883) are really quite remarkable, andworthy of framing, and each print is signed in the plate by Dore.

Boards– Bumping to top/bottom of spine and rubbing to cover corners, with one smallarea of damage to the spine c. 1cm.

Internally,apart from a few finger marks to borders, plates and text in good condition, acouple of plates (and a few pages) have light foxing, two have a dark mark runningalong the edge and one has a tear to the bottom edge near the spine.
