1 vintage German Bowie fighting knife available. This massive German Bowie measures 17 1/2\" overall--almost qualifies this as a sword knife. The blade alone measures 12 1/16\". This knife would make a fine addition to any collection.The front tang is stamped with the maker\'s mark \'F.A. BOWER IMP. CO. SOLINGEN MADE IN GERMANY\'. The reverse side of the tang is stamped with this knife\'s model number \'21/12H\'. This knife has a brass-pinned stag handle. The ball-guard looks to be made of nickel-silver. The pommel is made of aluminum. The end of the pommel has a brass nut. Note the file-worked blade spine. The cowhide leather sheath is stamped on its front \'Fabico\'.
Condition:
This vintage German Bowie knife is in almost new condition. This knife has its original, unused factory edge. There is an occasional area of the slightest of carbon staining on the blade--these areas are very slight, and will be further diminished in appearance with the use of a little Flitz or Simichrome polish on a rag. The stag handle is perfect. The leather scabbard has some stitches missing from its bottom portion.
