Fans of The Simpsons may be surprised to know that creator Matt Groening actually had a life before Homer and Bart in the form of a hilariously funny and insightful comic strip series called Life is Hell.
Love Is Hell, published originally in 1984 by his girlfriend Deborah Caplan, is a compilation of Matt\'s comic strips. This copy is a stated First Pantheon Edition dated 1985.
Matt has not only signed this copy but has added a wonderful freehand drawing of Binky and dated it in 1986, prior to Simpsons\' fame. It is also inscribed to Kelly as shown in my photos.
For condition, please examine my photos. As you can see, the cover has age-toned somewhat; inside, the text is mostly clean and bright but the last few pages have a stain down at the lower corner which sort of looks like foxing.
