Here we have an eye-catching gem that through the years, I have seen attributed to MAUD HUMPHREY. However, I recently tripped over a painting, very similar in style/presentation, and it was signed by James D. Alfreds.The same type of dress, ermine collar and cuffs, just extremely similartip to toe. So, now, I am not quite sure on this delightful gem, and I suspect since the other one I saw is signedby James D. Alfreds, who did work for Gray Lithograph (same co. as M.H.), that it really is his art and not Maud\'s. This postcard is often difficult to come by in pristine condition and this one is very nice! Fairly firm, flat, a fraction smaller than the usual pc size, there is the P.C. 39 on the front, and 1908 copyright date, as well. There is faint tip-wear (barely), and a light texture to the cardstock; very good, with the impressive image excellent! The color here is very appealing!
