RARE MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL MACHINE AGE LARGE CANTILEVERED TELESCOPING BRASS FLOOR LAMP 1920 FAIRES OC WHITE ERA
- DESIGN: A very rare, large and substantial Medical Industrial solid Brass articulatingcantileveredfloor lamp circa early 1920\'s . The lamps primary support rod can articulate up & down via the main support tubescenter collar while the crossbar extension arm can be positioned and extended avariety of angles via the large ball joint assembly locking collar. The shade can rotate/tilt from side to side as well via its\'s ball joint collar. Completely manufactured of heavy duty solid Brass throughout and extremely well engineered and machined. I have come across this identical style/design lamp a few other times but they are typically a wall mount or table lampwith the 3rd arm extension for medical examination purposes so it is assumed that this lamp was intended for the same medical/industrial usage but for wider range of applications.
- CONDITION: This impressive lamp is in outstanding original condition, completely intact andfully functional. Very solid andstraight overall with just light finish wear and slight tarnish patina with no damage or repair issues. Original Brass knob rotary switch socket has been inspected and appears clean and safe, the power cord has been replaced with 20\" of appliance grade insulated wire. The elaborate thick gauge solid Brass spherical shaped shade is free of any scars or dings with just light tarnish spots to the interior surface patina. The heavily weighted base Brass shroud is equally as clean with very minor wear. This huge floor model has many moving parts and is quite elaborate in its range and function, the fact that it is completely intact and in such fine condition isalmost hard to believe...you\'d be hard pressed to even find one of these still in existence and in this state itliterally does not get any better, you won\'t see this one again!
- DIMENSIONS: The lamps general dimensions in shown position can extend 57\" - 77 tall with an overall depth of 16\" and 12\" diameter base - the cross bar extending arm is 28\" long and the shade is 7\" in diameter…filament bulb is NOT included. Extension section of lampwill bepartially disassemble forshipping purposes.
