This is an original Lithograph, signed and numbered, with Mendij\'s signature on the front and back. The piece is also a Holiday card/gift to a family friend. I don\'t know if that signature from his daughter is from her or his wife signing for her. But the additional Vertical signature is Mendij\'s on the back. Plus they note this is an original litho to the recipient.
A wonderful piece from an artist you don\'t see any work from on the market very often.
This is from the late 1970\'s or early 80\'s
The Gallery poster on board is from 1981. The corners of the poster are dinged .
They are being sold together because the head image design on the poster matches the Head/face in the lithograph (See pictures)

Artist Biography - Mendij was born in Europe, Russia or Germany. Then lived in France, moved to America, got married and had a child, then back to Germany.
Mendij died in 2000. He lived in Cologne Germany and also died there. He has a daughter called Seana who is also a great artist. He was such a great artist with an amazing technique and creativity in his paintings. His paintings are in many mansions of rich people in California. He was a personal friend of Priscilla Presley, the wife of Elvis Presley. Elvis also bought a painting from him and had it on the wall in one of his houses. He also appeared in a couple of moves back in the late 60\'s because of his popularity in Hollywood. The Guggenheim Art Museum in New York had also bought paintings from him. His children have still a website of his work online, but I think they know very little of his past in California. They grew up in Cologne.
