Description

Hello. offerding on a fantastic looking and very comfortable mid century danish modern lounge chair by Fole Ohlsson for DUX, Sweden. Fantastic Scandinavian, mid century styling with solid, sculpted walnut frame. Curved upholstered seating area with loose seat and back cushion. Original olive colored wool fabric with quilted blue decking. DUX label sewn to decking.

Size & Condition

Size: 33” w x 32” d x 30” t. Sits at 17” tall from floor.

Condition:In very good to excellent vintage condition. Frame is in great shape. Fabric is basically in very good condition. There is some fuzzing to some the corners up front and on the back to the fabric.

SHIPPING FULFILLMENT:

Please understand, that we ultimately want you to receive your item as quickly as possible. The reality is that we process a lot of large items, and there is a lot of time involved in carefully packaging and processing furniture shipments. Because I am a one person business, it usually takes awhile to get the item out. With that said:

We try to deliver quicker, but your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated in this matter. Bottom line is: I just want to get the item to you as safe as possible, and not kill myself in the process due to rushing through a large volume of items. Also, if we arrange for a freight shipper such as TSC or Plycon, etc., please be prepared for the delivery (from the time the order is placed) to take anywhere between 2-6 WEEKS. Freight shippers are often slow and unpredictable with their time tables, so be prepared to be patient. Thanks.

Greyhound

The price of shipping and handling via Greyhound Xpress is: $125. This is our default shipping price on the invoice. In order to be able to fulfill the shipment using Greyhound, we will need you to contact us and provide your contact phone # as well as indicate the closest Greyhound station you would like shipped to. If you wish for another form of shipping, please let us know and we will adjust the invoice accordingly. In most instances, you will have to pick this item up at your local Greyhound terminal. Please inquire about shipping via FedEx Ground. Rates vary based on location, size restrictions and/or ability to disassemble.

Plycon, U-Ship or Personal Freight Options

These are door-to-door, generally blanket wrapped, freight options on your item. To receive a quote via Plycon Transportation, call: [phone removed by ] or fill out a quote online. U-ship is also an affordable option where independent shippers offer on your shipment online. Please visit their website for more details. We would estimate the cost using these methods between $180-$350 depending on location. U-ship providers may be less. We live in Indianapolis and our zip is 46260.

Local Pick-up

Local pick-up at my address is always welcome and appreciated.

SHIPPING/PAYMENT POLICIES, RESTRICTIONS AND LIABILITIES

Payment Conditions:

We request payment or contact informing us of payment within 3 days of purchase. We reserve the right to relist an item if payment or an arrangement for payment has not been made after 5 days. If purchasing a Buy-it-Now item, we require immediate payment. Sorry for all of the conditions. We are ultimately patient and agreeable, but have had a recent rash of no contacts and non-pays.

Shipping Policies. Please read carefully:

Here is our policy on shipping. We generally encourage you to arrange, or have us arrange a secure form of shipping, notably blanket wrapped freight or professional pack and ship, as this has proven to be the safest and most reliable delivery method. In some cases we must send an item this way regardless based on size, weight, fragility, significance of value or volume of shipping we are involved in. In most instances we will end up absorbing some of the shipping costs to ensure it is shipped the proper way and allow us to maximize our time. We understand that it is also not always the most economical way, but if it is an item that you truly value, we would encourage you to go the extra expense to have it packed and shipped professionally. We prefer to ship most items via freight (Plycon, U-Ship) or Greyhound. We have found over the years that these options are safer and cheaper for shipping larger items. In some instances Greyhound will also deliver door to door in some cities. Please call your local Greyhound Package Xpress if this is something you are interested in, and if it is an option in your location. Otherwise, you will need to pick it up at the terminal. PLEASE NOTE: the downside to shipping with Greyhound is they will only insure an item for up to $300. Please, specify which service you desire if you have us ship the item. Because of the amount of volume and handling FedEx and UPS have, large packages run the risk of getting beat up pretty good, so please be aware of this in your shipping decision. For freight shipping, we would recommend Plycon or U-Ship. PLEASE NOTE: if you decide to have us ship or arrange to ship an item, we will apply insurance to the shipment where applicable, but will not take any responsibility for any lost or damaged items. We will file a damage claim on your behalf, but will not be held responsible for the outcome of the claim. Please understand that while rare, shipping accidents occasionally occur no matter what precautions are taken, especially with glass or marble items. In some instances conventional shippers will not insure glass or marble items, so please note this when offerding. We would strongly recommend that any item with fragile materials be shipped with a professional packing service or freight company. Please note our shipping policies as a stipulation for offerding. Also note: because of increased volume, please allow @ 2-3 weeks from payment for delivery.

The items we deal in are vintage by nature, and commonly have the type of wear that you would associate with a vintage piece that has seen typical use over the years, including, but not limited to: light scratching, scuffing, minor edge bruising, some light finish wear, some staining and natural wear to upholstery fabric.
