At the time, the Laurel Lamp Company was hiring Italian
designers like Gio Ponti to create lamps that were true
works of art. This lamp is definitely a designer tour de force
and a work of lighting art!The lines are Italian and delicious! The sleek, tapering rosewood shaft
is crowned and footed with mirror like, brushed brass over steel.
A double socket produces ample lighting and a bright, crisp
white linen shade sits at the top with a perforated metal
diffuser and a solid brass finial.This Laurel Lamp is one of their most coveted floor lamp designs and is
timeless - looking as sensational today as it did half a century ago!Great condition with light wear and scratching to the metal base.
Rosewood is minty! Fresh white linen shade. Enameled steel diffuser
shows minor age wear. Lamp turns on and off with a foot switch
on the cord. Pure mid century elegance!This lamp is the sort that could be found in many mid century
mansions and penthouses featured in Architectural Digest back in the
