Up for sale tonight is this nice Antique Glass Fruit Jar from 1861. Named Millville Atmospheric Fruit Jar- reverse side says: Whitall\'s Patent June 18, 1861. Round glass ring on top also has the Whitall\'s Patent name and date on it. The Cast Iron Bail is original and will not come off. I think it is frozen from age. However inside is pretty clean for it being on there this long. You can see the large bubbles in this Jar, and writing is very nice and visible. Color is Aqua. Measures 9\" without the lid, and is 4 1/2\" inches in diameter. There is a tiny nick on the outside edge of the lid and one on the other side on the lip. Nothing major but they are there. A nice Antique item for any collector.
