The Book of Common Prayer, etc.Oxford: University Press/ New York: Thomas Nelson & Sons, ND [c1898]. Super RARE miniature Book of Common Prayer, attractively presented in decent shape. Original glossed leather covers and spine with gilt stamped title and cross; title and design visible on the spine as well as board with light cracking to front board. Pages delicately browned and intact, interior also well kept. Signed on front EP by an Abel H Hillman of Camden, NJ, in 1898. Hinges intact. 2 1/8 inches X 1.75 inches. Gilt page edges. Complete with all pages present. Because of their size the volume is also referred to as a \"Thumb\".These were highly prized and were often rewarded to children as gifts for good action, often in church. Overall a solid collectible & rare find. Good luck!
