This is for abeautiful example of anold Victorian travelling inkwell and pen wipe in the form of a violin case circa 1880. It has its original brown leather cover to boththe top and bottomandits original littlebrass loop handle on top. It has a concealed button on the front that flips open the lid and inside is another catch that opens to theglass inkwell. It has thered hard brush wipe for pens and it hasits originalglass inkwell inside, this is removable and under the inner lid is a spring loaded stopper to seal it whilst in transit. It is all in A1 excellent condition with no splits or wear in the leather,no chips or cracks to the glass....it really isone of the best I\'ve seen.The base measures 83mm (3.25\")by 37mm (1.3\") and it stands 30mm (1.25\") high.Please check out all the otherdesktop inkwells and other vintage gentlemans & ladies accessories we are selling on this week.
