In this sale, I am offering for your consideration the exquisite and highly celebrated ceramic sculpture Lladro NO. 01004810 AKA 4810G, entitled “Boy with Yacht\" AKA \"Little Sailor\" and \"Marinerito\", in Spanish.

This sculpture is an exceptionally well-rendered work archetypal of the now legendary master Lladro sculptor Salvador Furió in1980, during his early and triumphant career at the Lladro City of Porcelain in Valencia, Spain.

The sculpture represents a childhood scene in early 20th Century Spain of a young boy dressed in the then very popular and typical sailor’s garb with a sailor’s cap. The boy is sitting on what appears to be a black Victorian pier block. He is holding a sailboat on his right arm over his lap, while looking intensely to the distant horizon to his left, as if he were lost in thought and marveled by the sea.

The sculpture was issued by Lladro in 1972, and since then, it became a favorite childhood scene and actively collected by maritime enthusiast and Lladro collectors alike.

The sculpture was originally issued by Lladro without a base.

This Lladro sculpture is in EXCELLENT, MINT, FLAWLESS, LIKE NEW condition. It has always been kept inside a glass display case away from dust and sunlight. There are no stains, discoloration, chips, breaks or repairs.

The original Lladro shipping box is no longer available and not included.
