T. M. Norwood was a politician, judge and writer. He served in the United States Senate, for the state of Georgia, from 1871-1877. The \"Library of Southern Literature\" notes that \"As a writer, the style of Judge Norwood is caustic and brilliant.\" The only review of the above book was in the National Encyclopedia, which called it \"a sort of serio-comic commentary.\"
