This MPC Concorde SST has an interesting history as a model kit. Airfix originally created two molds of the SST in 1/144 scale. The first, in the mid-1960s depicted the anticipated protype design. The later mold depicted the first of the actual prodcution aircraft. MPC \"shared\" production of the SST model kits from the two molds releasing this kit of the prototype SST from the earlier mold and a year two later releasing a kit of the \"production\" SST. During this time, Airfix also marked the production SST version of the kit and continued to do so for a number of years. The MPC kits saw limited production and the kit being offered is very rare, particularly in new and unopened condition, such as this.

The is no damage to the box which has sharp, unfaded box art and has no tears, punctures, stains, markups or crushing. It looks store-shelf new.Photos are of the actual model being offered.
