Thisis a truly amazing and a very rare piece of Japanese Satsuma by Hozan. This isa top end example of Meiji era Satsuma. It shows much better in person. Thetop and the bottom band on each piece beautifully painted and decorated ingreat details with bright green, red and gold enameled flowers. The center bandon both pieces features village life scenes. The top rims have a band of rich goldscrolls on black. Thevery center of the cup and the saucer features tiny butterflies.

Dimensions: Cup - 2.75” long with ahandle, 1.6” tall, 1.6 oz. weight; Saucer - 4.4” in diameter, 0.75”tall, 3.75 oz. weight.
