This beautiful blonde Madame Alexander bride doll is from a local doll collector\'s estate. She is a 15\" Wendy Bride doll with a Margaret face made between 1951 and 1955. She is a bent-knee walker, and her knees and her walking mechanism are both in good working order.The doll and her clothing are both very clean and in extremely good condition for their age. Wendy\'s face paint is original and vibrant, and she has all of her eyelashes. Her bright blue sleep eyes work well, and her golden blonde wig is still clean, intact, and in its original set. The paint on her body is excellent, except for a few paint rubs around her knee joints. Her biggest flaw is a small split on her left shoulder seam that has been filled in and touched up with paint. This is not noticeable, unless you\'re specifically looking for it.Wendy\'s cream colored tafetta gown is beautiful and full. It is in wonderful, clean condition, with no holes or stains. The bottom half of her gown also serves as her petticoat. Under her dress, Wendy wears matching taffeta panties, seamed stockings, and her original cream colored satin, center snap shoes. She still has her bridal bouquet, although the garter that went with her bridal ensemble has been lost over the years.The bridal veil that she wears is lovely, but extremely fragile. The woven fabric in the center of her headpiece was mended at one point to stop it from falling apart completely. In consequence, the top of her veil is no longer completely symmetrical, although it still looks lovely on her.One of the pale peach colored roses that were originally on her wedding gown had fallen off, so I added two need fabric roses to either side of her gown.This is a wonderful, classic Madame Alexander doll in display ready condition. She would make a beautiful addition to any collection.
