- The circular base plate measures 8\" in diameter and is 1\" high. The inkwell is 4-1/4 h and 4-1/2\" w
- maker marks on both the base and the inkwell
- under glazed mark on the inkwell base of \"Atmov et Byehe\" was only used between 1780-1790
- no insert and under the lid where the insert would site are 2 hairline 6mm sealed cracks, which cannot be seen with the lid on
- the base on which the inkwell sits has some minor wear as shown in the pics, and cannot be seen with the inkwell setting on top
- I received a (verbal) informal appraisal from Sotheby\'s of $3000/4000 in 1998
