Magnificent Minton Painted Armorial Tureen With Lid & Stand For Sale
Here we are delighted to offer you aRare Magnificent Minton porcelain Tureen with lid and stand all hand painted with a good clear Important Armorial in the centre of the stand . The tureen is hand painted with reserves of fresh summer flowers in Gilded Reserves . It also has Raised and gilded flower heads and a claret ground colour . The quality is second to none and that is why Queen Victoria loved Minton like this. A run down on the condition The lid is perfect the Stand is Perfect the tureen has two very faint tight glaze lines on the inside only they did not even show in the pictures. Other wise the tureen isin perfect condition . All three pieces have not been restored and they look like they were made yesterday. The tureen is 7 " tall and 7 " wide The stand is 7.5 " wide It has a few impressed Minton marks. They are well over 100 years old and just look at the Magnificent condition of them . The Aromrial was painted for James Watts, Esq of Abney Hall. He married Margaret Miller and therefore was Agatha Christie's brother-in-law.
