Magnificent Vintage French Alencon Figural Lace Tablecloth Banquet Size 120\"

This rare French Alencon Tablecloth is outstanding. Beautiful and lush foliate designs. Scenes of Venise, Cathedrals and lovely buildings along canals, gondolas with people, pegasus horses.

Condition is near mint. It\'s excellent, no stains, no tears, no holes. There are a few scattered and tiny net irregularities (shown) that are barely there and hard to show in the pictures; one faint light gray mark on the underside of the cloth about the size of a pencil eraser that does not go through to the front. That\'s it! Barely used tablecloth, even color, lovely raised hand embellished cordonet. A creamy ivory to grace your table. It\'s a very even color and no fade.

It would be very difficult to find one finer, and these are very hard to find in this size, with figural ones even more rare. The net on this is very fine with graduated weave from coarser to softer adding visual dimension, (note the detail of the crosses done in the net on the top of the cathedrals) hand run cordonet outlines all the motifs. Simply stunning.
