This is a rare printing of Margaret Oliphant\'s \"Makers of Venice\", printed by the W. B. Conkey Company in Chicago, Illinois in the late 1800\'s. This printing appears to be so rare that I am completely unable to date the book to a specific year. However, the W. B. Conkey company moved its printing house out of Chicago in 1898, so this book was likely printed before 1898. It was printed with a manual typesetting printing press.Dedication is to Lady Elizabeth Cloncurry. The 1861 Burke and Wills expedition of Australia marked the first time Europeans stepped foot in the the Cloncurry area of Australia. Burke named the area and the Cloncurry river after his Cousin, Lady Elizabeth Cloncurry of Ireland. See this website for more details: from Pennsylvania, United States.
