An authentic, used hand carved cassowary bone dagger from the Maprikmountains region made by the Abelam peopleof Papua New Guinea. Note, the middle of the dagger\'s head has acarvedface of a human.

Length 10.25” (26mm)

Hints of red pigment and tree resin.

This dagger was field collected in the 1950\'s by Mr. J. Sweeney of Cairns, Queensland Australia, and was sold to me by his nephew in 2001.
