Very Rare Find, Original Sewn / Massachusetts 1779 2s/6d This Rising Sun issue was printed from face plates that had been engraved by Colonial printer, silversmith, and legendary forefather Paul Revere, who also printed the faces of the notes. The backs employed set-type and cast cuts from the previous Codfish issue and were printed by Thomas Fleet. On this particular note, both the rising sun vignette on the face and the pine tree vignette on the back are both sharp and clear.
