This extremely scarce example of imperial silver is in excellent condition, it would be unnecessary to explain who is Lev Nikolaïevitch Tolstoï, or what is imperial silver.

Tolstoï passed in 1910 so this piece could have been commisionned for a special event surrounding his passing. No comparable available in any sales, live or virtual to my knowledge in the past 5 years or even more. I am still continuing research on the piece.

In very good condition, free of dents, damage or any repair. Blue stone (poss saphyr) clasp. Open and close perfectly. Original bands. Unidentified silversmith hallmark very clear, please see photos.
