Mavaleix Limoges Pickard Hand Painted Apples & Blossoms Bowl Circa 1905 - 1919.Beautiful large porcelain bowl. Nicely hand painted with large apples. With a border of heavy gold gilding along the edge, with black scrollwork, and pink apple blossoms. Signed by the artist Leon. The sides of the bowl are painted a nice cream color. Marked on the reverse in green France PM DE M Limoges. This is a whiteware mark used by P. M. Mavaleix in Limoges France between 1908 and 1914. Also marked in brown Hand Painted China W Pickard A. Some of the Pickard marks are very similar, but it is either the 1905 - 1910 decorating mark or the 1918 to 1919 decorating mark. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
