Dark cobalt blue stencil lettering under glaze which reads MAX KLEIN XXXX TRADE MARK 32 Federal St. ALLEGHENY, PA 410 Market St. PITTSBURGH, PA.
Basically in operation from the 1870\'s to around 1912, I\'d date this piece right in the middle.

Its a 1 gallon size jug and avery popular collecting size.
Light cream orspeckledoatmeal coloration for main body, dark brown for the shoulder, top and applied handle, nice squatty beehive domed shape.
Jug measures about 7-1/2 inches tall and about 5-1/2 inches in diameter across the base, about 6 inches across shoulder, I\'m calling it a one gallon size.
Its in pretty good condition, a couple small handle chips and a tight impact fracture/spider on the backside, still stong after 20 years of ownership and display on my shelf.
