Pair of Meiji Japanese Solid Sterling Silver Coiled Dragon Cufflinks w/Cloisonne enamel detailing.

Provenance: Japan.

Age: Meiji Period (1868 - 1912).

Size: The pieces measureapproximately 34 - 34.5mm in diameter.

Artist/signature: The pieces are both hallmarked to the reverse with a 925 Sterling Silver stamp. The backs of the faces have also been tested positively forabove 900 grade silver.

Condition: The pieces is in good condition - please see photos for athorough assessment.

Comments: A fine pair of Meiji Japanese Sterling Silver Cufflinks, dating from the Meiji Period. The pieces areexquisitelyhand chased and etched to depict very impressive and highly detailed, coiled Chinese Dragons. The dragons are highlighted with orange/red enamel flames, which are applied with Cloisonne enamels.
