Beautiful original Meissen Swan Service Demitasse Cup and Saucer Set. The original service was produced from 1737 to 1743 and contemporary pieces (including this set) are made from the original moulds. Very rare and expensive pattern. Even imitations are expensive.Exceptional quality white embossed porcelain with feather gilding. Swans and reeds on the lake. Dragon handle with gilded scales. Please see all the photos for details. Authentic Meissen marks as shown. I have another cup and saucer set in this pattern as shown in the last picture. It is listed and priced separately.Perfect condition with 1 shallow spot (not chip) in the saucer rim that is factory enameled and gilded over.It might be just slip in application of the gilt. Please see picture 9 to judge for yourself. This might be the reason it was marked as a second since I can\'t find any other blemishes.The cup is 2\" tall by 3 1/2\" from rim to handle and the saucer is 4 3/5\" across.
