Here for your collecting pleasure we offer an excellent men\'s vintage beautifully texturedrayonHawaiian shirt.The shirt isin a cool jazzyallover print of gorgeous tropical ferns and leavesinterspersed with rounded squares of stylized tapa blocks,all in shades of clean white and blackwith dark highlights on a richly seersucker-woven background of silver-grey textured rayon.This elegant pattern is a prime example of the grand painterly effects that could be achieved with skilled brush and texturing techniques.The fabric is exquisitely textured in a bold allover variegated striated seersucker-type weave thatgives the pattern wonderful depth and highlighted color. Although this is not technically a barkcloth fabric (being constructed from rayon rather than cotton), a barkcloth effect is produced by the carefully woven fabric and the wonderful pattern. This is the epitome of the classic older aloha shirts. This shirt is a grand one that hasbeengently worn; it is still ingreat condition and is anoble old piece.Its styling is classicmid 1980s. The shirt retainsits originalexcellent smoothly polished convex coconut shell buttonsstill intactand features somewhat longer length stitched-downcollar points,overcast seams, stitched-down yoke and shoulder seams,duo ease pleats at yoke back, 2 1/4\" long slits at hemline side seams, and patch type pocket with aflat bottom and rounded corners.All the bells and whistles one could want in a fine aloha shirt.The original label is absent.This shirt is amedium size and measures 24\" across the chest when laid flat,24\" across the waist when laid flat,20\" across the shoulders from seam to seam, and30\" from shoulder to hem, with11 1/4\" long sleeves. It is well designed and well executed.This is averygrand and coolAloha shirt.The shirt is in greatcondition with no tears,spots, stains, dirt, holes, or underarm damage that I can find.This piece has been in storage formany years. The colour is great; it is still wearable and in excellent condition for its age.
