Recent estate find. The large ring’s size is in the area of 13.5 to 14. It weighs 20.77 grams. The stone measures approximately 13mm x 24mm. There are no artist hallmarks. There’s also no silver purity mark. I would guess the silver to be at least 900.
The ring has all the wear and crudeness that you would expect with an item of this nature. The stone has some crude irregularities that I think are mostly natural – there’s seems to be at least some level of light scratching to the surface of the stone, and a couple of the surface blemishes might be bumps or rubbing wear.
The silver has a nasty amount of scratching, pitting, dullness and related surface wear throughout. This wear is most heavy to the lower portion of the band from the ring being well worn. The silver also has a truly evident amount of darkening and discoloration. The tight areas are badly blackened with tarnish, and there’s also a lot of dirtiness.
The band does have a crude sizing line that is indented on the inside and kind of globby on the outside.
