This is a fantastic set of signed items by three Mercury astronauts, highlighted by a Faith 7 First Day Cover signed by Gordon Cooper.

The Faith 7 cover commemorates the final Mercury Mission, when on May 15,1963, aboard the Mercury-Atlas 9,he orbitedEarth 22 times and logged more time in space than all five previous Mercury astronauts combined — 34 hours, 19 minutes and 49 seconds. This cover has a May 15, 1963, cancellation stamp from Cape Canaveral, Fla.

The other two items are a signed and inscribed card by Donald \"Deke\" Slayton and a card signed by John Glenn.

Also included is a rare Scott Carpenter button, that measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter.

The Cooper signed cover has a light fold in the center and a pencil notation on the back. The Slayton card has an ownership sticker on the back.

A very nice group. These items were part of a group of Mercury 7 items I bought through highly respected RR sale.
